Learning Networks – They Are Personal
Personal Learning Networks – PLCs. It seems hardly possible to be a current educator and not have heard of the term. Personal Learning Networks refer to a network of resources that professionals use to access professional development, ask questions, create connections, or enhance their professional experience in any way.
This week in CEP 810 we begin to explore the PLC, including its extension into modern technologies such as Twitter and RSS feeds. To gain better insight as to the wide variety of resources we have at our disposal, we were asked to create a mind map utilizing the website Popplet.
This visual aid reinforced the sheer number wonderful resources I have at my disposal to answer questions, get help, or simply find sources of inspiration. I encourage you to make your own map and discover your own Personal Learning Community!
